Background
Professor PatrĂ­cia Rinaldi has a Ph.D. (2018) and a Master Degree (2010) in Political Science with emphasis on International Relations at the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences at the State University of Campinas (IFCH-UNICAMP); and a Bachelor Degree in International Relations at Faculdades de Campinas (2006). Her areas of study are International Cooperation for Development, International Political Economy and International Organizations, with a view from the Global South.

She was a visiting scholar at the Ralph Bunche Institute for International Studies, Graduate Center, CUNY (2015). In this period, she conducted part of her doctoral dissertation, in which she examined the United Nations Development System and the mainstreaming of South-South Cooperation in the UN operational activities for development. Her research relied on declassified negotiation documents provided by the UN Archives and Records Management Section and interviews with UN diplomats and staff.

Currently, she is a Professor of International Relations at Faculdades de Campinas (FACAMP) and Director of its Center of Studies and Research in International Relations. She also is the Academic Coordinator of FACAMP Model United Nations, in partnership with WFUNA.
