I am a development economist with a focus on policy analysis and advocacy. A UN official for almost three decades, I worked at UN ESCAP, UNCTAD, UNDP Latvia and the UNICEF Regional Office South Asia. I am currently affiliated with UNRISD, and teach in university programmes on human rights, global development challenges, the 2030 Agenda, and on social protection. I am a board member of Women Engage for a Common Future, and a member of the UNICEF NatCom Germany. I am also an advisor ro the Initiative for Equality.
