Katarina Månsson, Background
Katarina Månsson works at the Executive Office of the Secretary-General at UN Headquarters, New York, since February 2012. She previously worked as Human Rights Officer at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, with postings in Uganda and Geneva. She holds a Ph.D in international human rights law from the National University of Ireland, Galway, on the topic of integration of human rights in peace operations and has published on human rights, peace and security and conflict resolution. Previous professional experience includes positions at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, diplomatic missions to the UN in Geneva and New York, and as a journalist.
