Environmental Ambassadors for Sustainable Development is an expert association having the expert, scientific, innovative, professional and social character, established with the intention of acting in:
- the general interest of advancing, popularization and promotion of scientific research work, and
- the public interest in the areas of: sustainable development, environmental protection and education, and
- in other areas of implementation of the objectives
through the research, consultancy, expert analysis, innovation, education and promotion.
Organization “Environmental Ambassadors for Sustainable Development” is formally registered in 2012 by experts working together from 2004 as the non-formal experts group established within organization “Environmental Ambassadors”. The need and rationale to establish expert professional organization is outreach of the project supported by governmental Center for Science Promotion.
“Environmental Ambassadors for Sustainable Development” is accredited for 2012 UN Rio+20 Conference, accredited in UNEP, National NGO Focal point for Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM), National Member of FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education).
President is Prof dr Andjelka Mihajlov, former Serbian Minister for the Protection of Natural Resources and Environment (Contact: [email protected] , [email protected]).
President of the Council is Prof Dr Hristina Stevanovic-Carapina. Sandra Radunovic and Milica Petrovic are Executive Directors. Core team includes: Ana Puda, Filip Jovanovic, Prof Dr Natasa Zugic-Drakulic, Dr Dunja Prokic, Danko Aleksic, Prof dr Predrag Simonovic.
