Description
The Gene M. Lyons Graduate Student Paper Award is open to all Ph.D., J.S.D., or LL.M level degree students who present a paper at the 2017 Annual Meeting at Sookmyung Women’s University, Seoul. The Award is valued at $250 US. In order to receive the award, the applicant must be a current ACUNS Member. To become an ACUNS member visit the join/renew page.

Gene M. Lyons Graduate Student Paper Award Guidelines
The Gene M. Lyons Graduate Student Paper Award is:

  • Open to all Ph.D., J.S.D., or LL.M level degree students
  • Recipients must be an ACUNS member
  • To be awarded for a previously unpublished, single authored paper delivered at the 2017 ACUNS Annual Meeting at Sookmyung Women’s University, Seoul, Korea
  • To be awarded for innovative research that best reflects the mission of the Academic Council and/or any of the themes of the 2017 Annual Meeting
  • To be awarded to a paper written in English
  • Paper Submission deadline is Sept. 30, 2017
  • The jury selects the best paper by Nov. 28, 2017
  • Students should upload their paper through the on-line application process

General Writing Guidelines:

  • 20–25 pages, typed on standard 8 1/2″ by 11″
  • Double-spaced (2.0 spacing in MS Word)
  • 12 point Arial font
  • Follow the Chicago Manual of Style
  • Use footnotes rather than endnotes
